golden wedding pressie ideas

Hi folks
I'm looking for suggestions for a golden wedding pressie for my parents. We will be taking them out for a meal with my brother and his daughter. They dont want a big party as neither of them are 100% fit at the moment. I thought of a family photo (2 kids one son in law and 4 grand daughters) but little bro doesnt seem too keen but we did that for my OHs parents and it seems like a cop out.
Has anyone got any ideas please?

Lynn

Do they have any wedding photo's you could sneak out? A friend of mine took one of her parents wedding and had it printed on canvass and had it framed which they loved, just an idea of course

hi thats a good weblink,
I think a rose with the name of golden is a great idea and something for them to remember the occasion by..

Or the more traditional is a golden carraige clock or similar..

you can now name a rose. . I named a star for our OH. this can be done throught he star registery. A permanent tribute, you get a lovely certificate that they can suppply framed and you get to pick an appropriate constellation. we muddled up the letters of our names to create a name for our star.

Well pressies are bought!
I got the rose bush at our local garden centre. Still had to find something else though.
Went into Newcastle for the Chinese New Year celebrations on Sunday and found someone doing chinese caligraphy on the spot. The pictures are about 12" x 36" and have their names in english & chinese also a phoenix and a dragon for good luck etc all in gold frames.
Taking them out for Sunday lunch this week too.
