Arrghh - the elusive Alison is back (second attempt!)
Hi Folks,
Well I am sort of back
!
As many of you know, we sadly lost Keeper last November to Auto Immune Haemolytic Anaemia. A new arrival came in January, Holzheim Timelord von Volsung aka Byron and boy is he hard work!
We decided to call him Byron after reading a poem Byron wrote about his Newfoundland, we thought it just summed Keeper up so well and it was a nice tribute to him:
"Near this spot
Are deposited the Remains of one
Who possessed Beauty without Vanity,
Strength without Insolence,
Courage without Ferocity,
And all the Virtues of Man without his Vices.
This Praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery
If inscribed over human ashes,
Is but a just tribute to the Memory of
BOATSWAIN, a DOG"
Poor Grace is taking so much grief from him but he is a sweet little boy really....
Here is the monster:
And that innocent face you just couldn't believe would get into any trouble.....
I shall have a good browse through all that I've missed later when the monster is asleep.
Hope everyone and there poochies are doing well!
