Dog Grooming Courses......

Hey guys!

Am thinking about going into dog grooming.... has anyone out there done it?

Ive just been employed to become a dog walker! <3 But as you may realise, this isnt a full time job! The company may well be interested in starting grooming (which I would take on.... thinking about mobile grooming).

Where would I start?

Anyone out there a groomer?

Tips please!

If I can impress them enough and show them my ideas upfront then I can get a go ahead or decline !

Courses? People would like to know their groomer is at least knowledgeable about grooming.. you have to know how to do certain cuts - just in case, know what cuts to do for what dogs etc..

Try looking at your nearest agricultural college. They are highly likely to offer dog grooming courses.

You really need to do some courses. I would not advise anyone to just start with out any training at all.
I groom my dogs for the show ring and hand strip them but still benefited from a good course before doing anyone elses.
