Surely, by now the judges should be making sure that the dogs they put through are the healthier examples of the breeds????
of course there are , don't lets tar all judges with the same brush until we know the full reasons for not allowing the breed to compete in the big ring its all speculation, there are som many rumours flying around at the moment i feel sorry for those involved.

I agree ' when I went today I said you wait the mastiffs will be hit today , and from what I hear a few have been. Feel really sorry for all involved , can't be nice knowing if you win you are propably going to be another sacrificial lamb.

You would only lknow that if your dog had a problem.

The pug and others have been fine.

The vets are impartial.

I feel sorry for all the dogs over the years whose health problems have been ignored by the breeders, judges and the KC. Well done on the KC for at last trying to change things.

Or could it be argued that dogs have been sacrificial lambs to pander to the whims and fancies of exaggerated breed standards and now the tide is finally turning in their favour?

Just read on another forum that the pekes owner has had an independent examination done , and it passed with flying colours, litigation is now proceeding.
