I had a covid vac letter come today and the local DR also rang. They managed to get Sue and I into the local vacination centre for this coming monday. If I had booked on line via that letter i would have had to travel 25-30 miles into Brighton.

Just goes to show how disjointed the NHS is, the right hand totally unaware of what the left hand is doing. It is beyond me, no wonder the NHS is financially stricken .

At least your doctor is sorting it TW. None of our surgeries will have anything to do with it.

To book from the letter (when it comes) I'm told the nearest centre is Norwich which is roughly just under 70 miles by road one way even though we have a vaccination centre in town. I'm told not to bother with any letter we get and to wait for the vaccination centre to call. It's all a muddle

My SIL had her call a few weeks ago and Michael was saying they might have to travel from Norfolk to Stevenage. They didn't in the end they ended up in Swaffham so a lot nearer for them still being in the same county.
Margaret doesn't drive now so Michael drove and while he was there they also did his vaccination even though he wasn't booked yet. Margaret is 83 later this year he will be 80 in September so we were all pleased that they seem to be working sensibly there.

I don't get it Lynn. They are trying to send people from Norfolk to Stevenage and people from Skegness to Norfolk. As said, it's all a muddle
