Cold sore - already ! Remedies please..

I am prone to getting cold sores on my lips, but in the winter, so am very surprised to have a beauty on my top lip at the moment!!!!!!

Little things but really painful when oh kisses me and sticks his moustache into it lol.

( Nana will say "Stop kissing the boys" )

Zovirax is very good, my mum suffers with cold sores and she swears by it, unfortunately you have to use it BEFORE the cold sore come out, when you first feel it tingling, so don't know if it will do any good if you already have it but for future reference

Hope that helps a little

Jules

Hi,
I know how you feel...ive got a huge 1 on my bottom lip right in the middle that is only just starting to heal up!
I only ever use zorvirax, even if it has already come up as i find it still helps to heal it quicker

I had one two or 3 weeks ago
It was massive, and really sore!

I use the creams even after the sore has come out, as it does give some relief!

I dab a bit of perfume on mine as it dries them out quicker. I use Zovirax if I can get it quick enough.

I use zovirax even after the blister has appeared, and I think it helps shorten the period of misery and stops them spreading all over my face!! It'd be a good idea to get one of the pump dispensers (so you don't explode it everywhere) and keep it on you at all times to prevent future occurences.

Apart from that, same rules as for any virus (good food, plenty of water, no booze - to keep your immune system in top form) and don't eat peanuts, they're supposed to trigger them
