The hospital has a dentist at special times down at the A&E for emergencies such as this, give them a ring and they'll tell you when he's on today. Poor lad, been there many a time, soooo painful. You could pop in the chemist and get some tooth tincture (oil of cloves) which you put on the tooth and it numbs it, for a while. He desperately needs some antibiotics though really, which that dentist at the A & E could prescribe, or your doctor?? Try them too.

There are always dentists on call for such emergencies so get him down there. Nothing worse than that kind of pain.

If you have a walk in centre locally they should have a dentist attached
Or ring your local PCT ( primary care trust) and they can help you find a dentist
