Sprained ankle

Whats good for a (hopefully only) sprained ankle cause im in a wee bit of pain after doing it at 8.30am this morning at work!

I broke this same ankle a few years ago when i jumped down onto scaffolding and foot went through the boards, but cause im terrified of hospitals-i didnt go and it took about 6 months for the pain to go.The ankle was definetly broken cause i could feel a 'click' when it went...

At the moment,i have my leg stretched out so no weight is on it and dosed myself up on Nurofen.Anything else, but not which involves doctors...

Perhaps some of that Ibulieve stuff might help Steve. I remember years ago my next door neighbour used to swear by something called Comfrey but am not sure what it is - some sort of herb thing but meant to be good.

That'll teach you to do frog impressions won't it

Cheers Foxy for the ibuleve (sp?) tip-will pop to chemist tommorrow morning. Not sure about the comfrey though cause i've always known it as a green manure for the garden (you dig it into soil) and im a bit sceptical about munching away on a leaf!

ps.I sprained it this morning by stumbling on forklifts tines, but had a cushy day by catching up on paperwork in office!

Steve...try one of those elastic bandages, and keep up with the nurofen cos its an anti inflammatory. Also stick a bag of frozen peas on it.
How did you trip over a forklift?????
