Thank you so much for all your kind words and thoughts.

I feel like a wet dish rag at the minute.

I will ring his Son this afternoon and ask what I can do.

It is lovely knowing that I have my friends here on Dogsey to turn to in the hour of need.

Thanks once again. x x

I agree with everyone who has already posted-just go with your feelings-dont listen to anyone who tries to tell you how you should be feeling-they are NOT you

A friend was in a similar position a few weeks ago-her ex died-they had been divorced for 19 yrs after he left her for someone else
She kept saying that she didnt know how she was supposed to feel,as they were no longer together but she still loved him-just didnt love what he had done to her and their 2 daughters

My cousin,Paul, who was an alcoholic 22 died just before Christmas-he was only 42
At the funeral his sister Maria told me that she had tried and tried to help him -she would look after his flat ,take him to Hospital appts etc .He would be fine for a few weeks and then his mates would come round and he would be back again
Paul was married to an alcoholic and their daughter was the same
When Paul died ,Maria had to go looking for Pauls daughter on the streets The daughters words were-Ill be the next wont I?She is only 22 and has a 6 yr old who no longer lives with her
Maria said she had felt guilty at first because she felt relieved that Paul had died but she said she knows there was nothing more she could have done

You have many friends on Dogsey who are here to support you
We are thinking about you -take care of yourself
BIG HUGS
Maureen
