We've had a Wee bit of rain

Took my small camera out with the intention of getting some 'rainy day' photos for shona's thread, but as it happened the sun came out

There's rather a lot of water about!

You shouldn't be able to see any water in this shot...

Hoki thought we could still make it to the bridge - I had to call her back



had to call Stumpy back too - the river's flowing a bit too fast for comfort



Every route we tried to take was flooded..


The dogs didn't seem to mind but I wasn't going to follow them through 2 foot of water

Blimey...just a little bit of rain then!

It never stopped yesterday did it?! It looks as though Hoki and Stumpy don't mind some oversize puddles for jumping in

and its started again now, so the flooding may get worse before it gets better.

well if it was as bad as those photos on my patio I certainly wouldn't be laughing. Luckily the house is quite a bit higher than the river (+ all the millionaire's houses are between mine and the river, so if things do go seriously wrong, theirs will get wet before mine!)

No the girls didn't mind at all - Stumpy couldn't understand why I wasn't lobbing her ball down the middle of the fairway as usual - but it would've been just like her to decide not to get it

BTW - have you heard, there is snow forecast for Monday night.

I did see it is supposed to get very cold next week, but didn't see a mention of snow. Should be fun!!!

Great pics, how come round here it just looks flooded and boggy and at yours it looks picturesque??

good question - I think its because the water is sooo deep it hides the 'bogginess'. Boggy and unpleasant will come once the river water has died back abit.
