Does anyone know about swans?

and their habits?

We past a huge field out by the seaside this afternoon and saw lots of swans sitting nestled amongst the vegetation.

OH thought they might be eating. I thought they might be nesting but neither of us really know.

Does anyone know what they might be doing out in the middle of a field sitting down

They do it near here too, just sit.

Wish they would get a bit of road sense, it took me 10 minutes to drive 10 yards once, I didn't have the heart to hoot at them, I could have got out and shooed them across the road I suppose but my children were enjoying watching them waddling!!
