I 'think' I may have done it Fred thanks I put the Ip address in the block emails section so I think it should be okay.

Foxy that will only stop any emails from that IP coming through...

You need to put that IP into someplace else also to stop them attacking any other areas where your computer can be accessed.

Do you have a firewall as well as virus protection?

Just to add, if you have a firewall etc that should stop any unwanted access to your PC from any IP address.

Yes I have the norton firewall turned on all the time but the windows one turned off - is this right?

Yes hun, if you have a firewall with your virus sofware, you do turn off the windows firewall so that they don't conflict one another.

Your Firewall should be what stops any unwanted access to your pc from any other computers.
