Fry Friday 28th July 2023

Morning all. Yep I used the frying pan this morning for scrambled eggs. Not that I use any fat as it is non stick. Usually I beat the eggs and then put them in the pan but this time I just cracked them into the pan and stirred. How do you do yours? Strangely they tasted better. Hope you all have a good day. I have the gas man coming to service the old boiler. Not Me Barry, the gas boiler. I love your jokes, keep them coming. Looks like rain and just when I thought I would be able to have all windows open. Ah well hope you all keep dry. Brewster enjoy your walk.

Two eggs in a pan of boiling water. One egg says to the other " This bath is getting rather hot it will burn me" the other egg says " thats not the worst of it, when eventually they get you out they smash your head in".

Man jumps out of a plane that was going to crash. On the way down he desperately tries to open his parachute as he was falling he saw a man going the other way skyward.
"Oi" he calls out " do you know how to open a parachute?"
The other guy calls out " No I don't, but do you know how to mend boilers?"

Morning brenda and all to follow.
Nice morning here. Brewster enjoyed his first walk in the park, we met Gracie the Lab who we know from our Dillon walking days and her owner Mick.
Brewster is a confident little boy.
He will have his brunch then a car ride to Kings Lynn to visit some pet shops for his own harness (we have been borrowing one) and some socialisation and maybe a coffee for us.
I have done scrambled eggs in the frying pan for years now. I crack eggs into the pan after melting some butter first, then some milk or cream if I have it and stir. Mustn't forget the salt and pepper.

Have a good day all.

Yum. But to many calories if butter, cream and milk. Pleased to hear Brewster enjoyed his walk.
Now then here are two weird words: Refugium: a stable area during a period of continental climatic change. Maybe that is what we are going through?
Retronym: a term coined to distinguish the original referent from a later development.
Who thinks up these weird words? I just find them when playing scrabble. lol!!

Love the jokes Barry.

Good morning Brenda and Lynn

Hope you have a good day Brenda

Well done Brewster on your first walk. Hope he is ok with the ar ride

Overcast here but warm. Have had a quick shower but now dry. Taken the opportunity now the ground has improved a bit to plant out a lavender bush. Now just have to keep it watered and hope it survives the winter.

Take care everyone

Good afternoon all

Overcast but dry and pleasant temperature - my favourite weather

We are bei.ng plagued with bugs on the seafront though. First it was little spiders now it's wasps and midges. Happens every time we get a wet summer.

Glad Brewster is enjoying his freedom Lynn.

If your weather is owt like ours Sue, keeping that lavender bush watered shouldn't be a problem I can't remember the last time we had a full day without rain

You can't believe the cheekor some companies. Just had a guy at the front door claiming to be doing a survey on behalf of the Dept of Works and Pensions. He said they were doing a survey into peoples life styles. What the hell has it got to do with them how Sue and I live?? What I should have said to him is we only answer surveys on payment of £500 in cash.

That sounds strange TW. I've never heard of the DWP going door to door

On the scrambled egg front, Brenda. We rarely have it but when we do we do it in the microwave. Ted loved his scrambled egg, but the last twice he's left it so I'll lay off it for a while. Did I mention, he's a finicky little pup (read that as little monster)
