Oh a female is just so expensive. In a way I'm glad Dougal is a boy, it's marginally cheaper to get him done.

Yup, he's home, he's none too happy either. Hates the collar, but he's too out of it to do much about it at the moment. He's not shown any interest in eating or drinking yet but it's only been an hour since we got home. He keeps looking sadly at me as if to say 'what did you do to me mum!'

We have Metacalm to give him tomorrow and he's to go for a checkup on Thursday and stitches out in 10 days.

He's sleeping as best he can on the floor at the moment, strangely he's lying in classic staffie position, the frog...why does that not hurt!

He'll come out of it I'm sure, the trick is going to be keeping that ruddy collar on for 10 days as the vet told me to do. I can foresee a few disasters...

Well it's what the vet told me to do. But my parents never had one with any of their dogs and they were all okay.

Thanks Ramble, that's actually good advice, I think that's what I'll do. Just put it on overnight while we are sleeping...not sure how long it will stay on though.

Aw bless him! Bryan hated the collar too. I only left it on him for about 5 minutes. He never bothered bout his stitches at all.

Hope you all get a good night's sleep x

He's doing fine, he's had a little bit to eat and has been drinking which has made me feel a bit better. He's back on 'his' couch now
