Sweet Dreams Little Sandy

I am so sad to say that my Grandads JRT Sandy passed away about half an hour ago she was we think around 20 years old.

He rescued her when I was 2, found her on the side of a road where she had been hit by a car and suffered a broken leg. He took her to the vets and every effort was made to find her owner but no one came forward so he gave her a home. She was the sweetest little dog and she just adored me! It was always my lap she sat on, and last xmas she came to my house, deaf and blind she still came straight to me and curled on my lap

He found her collapsed at the top of the stairs and rushed her to the vet where they agreed there was nothing they could really do for her. She was set free in my Grandads arms. Run free at the bridge xxxx

Run free little Sandy you had a long life. Your Grandad must be devastated, I too am thinking of him and know how he feels right now as do all of us who loose an oldie No matter how long the life is it is never long enough. He will have lovely memories of Sandy and hopefully time will heal the pain and he can remember the good times.

Thank you for all of your kind words, they mean a lot in this time of mourning My grandad is obviously very sad but he knows that he did the right thing for her. He now has little Oscar (Max's brother) to keep him busy so hopefully it will take his mind off a little
