Has Luna been bitten?

Hi guys

Yesterday I discovered a bald spot on Luna's front leg ( the bone between ankle joint and shoulder), theres was nothing to see.

Today the spot has gotten bigger and is a bit reddish. She hasn't really been licking it at least not while I've been around. Bella has this thing where she grabs Luna's leg, could she have scratched?

I have some cream that desinfects (sp?), I put that on.

I have a pic of the size, its taken on my phone camera. I cant get really close, it gets blury (sp?)

Well here goes, its the little white spot you can see, the pic got a bit small, but it wouldn't let me put it in here, if I didnt resize it!

Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I keep an eye on it or go to the vet tomorrow?

Hi Bella it could be a number of things...or nothing much,it is hard to see from the pic but it looks flat not raised (bites are usually raised). I would just keep an eye on it and put nothing at all on it for the moment...not cream. If is gets bigger or looks or worse in any way I would get it checked. It is as Azz says probably a graze. If it continues to increase in size it may be a fungal infection easily treated.

Awww thanks guys!

Yeah I think it could be a scratch!

It is flat! And not a wound as such, allthough moist enough so I could peel skin of.

But you wouldnt put anything on, just watch it?

I really would like to get a closer pic, but its not easy with the mobile phone, and I still dont have a digital camera

Just leave it alone. Keep an eye on it & if it starts getting puffy or starts weeping then you might need some medication. However, it is probably a simple scratch & will heal satisfactorily on its own.

Could it be a hot spot that she's licked and licked till the hair has gone?
