Training Teal - GWP

Took Teal out for a training session this afternoon on the grouse. She's doing really well and is just full of natural ability. She really is a joy to watch and handle.

I think reading between the lines, it seems you never stop. Is this just a false impression you give out or are you on the vodka's and red bull lol

Thanks Dawn. Hoping to trial her in the future but if I just get a nice dog I can shoot over, I will be happy. She also was second in her class at Crufts this year!

John, I do sometimes stop but yesterday was pretty busy. We were up at 4.50 to do a grouse count, which lasted 2 and a half hours, back home and I must admit I had a snooze. Back up to do a bit of work then took Teal out for a couple of hours training. It's all good fun!

well they say a womens work is never done. But saying that, is that allowed in these politically correct days we live in. A mans work is never done too, surely lol

I work as seasonal field worker, which I do get paid for lol. I start in March with the grouse counts and I finish in August with the grouse counts. My OH works for them permanently.

This year, I am getting paid to look after a pheasant pen with the poults going in either the first weekend of August, or the second. I've got one and Rob has one so that will keep me busy until the season starts.

I spend my winters beating and shooting. I grew up with an air rifle and ferreting and then moved onto a shotgun a few years ago when I met and married my OH. I'm actually not too bad a shot. We went to a clay shoot the other weekend and I got 27/40, beating a lot of the men. I also did very well on the pool shoot, beating Rob lol!

It certainly is teamwork. :-p
