Training to bark and be quiet.

I'm making great progress with training and would like to try and get Rosie to stop barking when she hears another dog doing so. At the moment if a dog barks on the TV she starts and the rest of the family are giving me grief about it!

I understand that in order to teach them to be quite you 1st need to teach them to bark on command. This I'm having difficulty with, if I play barking to her, to get her to bark, she gets excited and seems to switch off from learning (if that makes sense).

Any tips or is it just a case of carry on and on and on....
