Not unexpected news unfortunately. The cataract maybe as the optician said it was only just starting four year ago and that it hadn't changed. I'll be glad to get that done and out of the way so that hopefully I can see again. My distance sight is really bad now.

I doubt the injections will do anything (if they get them in as I'm pretty needle phobic at the best of times), but I'll try and then hope for the best

You're very brave Chris not sure I would cope with needles in my eyes or coming towards them.

Just before we went out Dillon picked up his snuffle mat like he does his soft toys and shook it and a treat he had missed flew out.
Just now he gets a treat ball usually with treats after his tea, tonight we gave him the snuffle mat, next thing we knew he had put his paw on it and pulled two pieces of the material out that make the snuffle bit to get to the treats that had gone deeper down.

I thought hypnotherapy too. Or some form of relaxant like Gelsemium. It's homeopathic. As for Dillon couldn't be sleep in with you both?

He has never particularly liked sleeping in the same room brenda and to be honest not a lot of room in our room. The living room gives him lots of options of where to sleep.
He likes to move about during the night to sleeping outside, then in beside the sofa for a while then on the sofa sometimes in the middle of the floor.
He started this end of June till then he had always been a good sleeper. Vet felt he may be early stage dementia but as his quality of life is good at the moment she is not happy prescribing him drugs as they will make him drowsy and if he needed t be doped up all the time we would have to consider if he then had a quality of life.
We will take it in turns as we have been doing and sleep in the living room on the sofa if that makes him happy.
