What a terrible experience!

I hope you can find some authority in charge of stray dogs.

FFS, Evie - what a ghastly thing to happen, and it could have ended so much worse.

I'd be steaming, and on the phone to the police at the first opportunity.

Hugs honey x0x0x

Thank you all for your replies. Stiff drink was administered later last night and hugs much appreciated.

Thank you for the advice Red collar. I think perhaps putting this in writing to both will mean they are more likely to take action. Fingers crossed.

Poor you
Glad your dogs are OK. That is so scary

What is the point of the dog wardens?? there is a dog who gets out here that has attaced other dogs - even blinded one little dog
when you call the dog warden they say its nothing to do with them cos its a staffy type so thats for the police. The police say they dont deal with dogs its the dog wardens job
In the mean time it ripped a boxers jowel apart - blood everywhere

Thanks. I keep replaying it in my mind and it really was a miracle that all they came away with was a few scrapes. They went under the car! They must have some special angels looking out for them.

It's ridiculous that the police and dog warden keep passing the buck in relation to that staffy, Ben McF. I'd be asking both how would it look for them if next time a child gets injured by a dog that has been reported to them before.

Evie hun I hope you and the doglets are ok. Ispoke to the council about the pikeys who let their greyhounds run on the road (causing one to be run over) and they said it was a matter for the police.

Sending you big hugs x

That's ridiculous! So the dog wardens will only deal with certain breeds of dog? Arrggghhhh they make me sooooooooo mad (and the RSPCA too).

I think that's right.

If the DW seems unwilling to take it seriously because you don't know where the dogs live, describe the dog and ask them to look through their records to see whether anyone else has complained about a similar dog in that area (you said there are only 6 houses to choose from) and whether that complaint confirmed the address.
