i may be missing for a few days :o(((

well it seems i just cannot stay away from the hospital

i have been having a few problems with my head the last few days
firstly 3 holes appeared around my lead on the back of my head, was so sore, went to the hospital to get it checked out on monday, they did some bloods and said it seemed it was some type of infection, my white blood cell count was up, the consultant was saying he didnt think i should stay in at this point but if it got worse to come back and to go back anyway next tuesday to get it checked out again

so we came home, last night my head swelled so much i couldnt turn my head left or right, i was in tears as it was so sore
this morning it had eased a little but not much

am just waiting on Liverpool getting back to me about being admitted

i really dont need this as it is 8 months since i had the shunt fitted and things were not going too bad really

the thought of more surgery makes me feel so sick

am gonna see if hubby will buy me a dongle as i know i will be so bored sitting in that hospital ward again

and just hope it is a short stay and not a month like before

will try to keep you all updated

So sorry to read this news Jackie...we've certainly had our share of hospitals this past year haven't we? Although, thankfully, mine have been nowhere near as painful as yours. (I was back this morning for my pre-op assessment (op booked for 20th October), then back on 6th October for my sleep apnoea )

I hope that they manage to sort you out and you start to enjoy life more fully...sounds absolutely dreadful for you at the moment. xxx

Awwww you poor thing Jackie, this seems never ending for you, all that pain, you must be so fed up with it all. If you do have to stay in, I hope you don't get too bored, and try and put that tongue in your cheek if you can this time, coz otherwise, it will just make it all worse for you. Sometimes for our own good we have to shut up and put up, not easy I know, but I learnt that with mum, she told me if you just say yes and no and thankyou and please, they're very nice to you, and she had lots of experience of hospitals didn't she! When they called her "that demanding woman" they gave her a pretty rough ride, so she learned, and I remember your last time when I think you got so fed up you discharged yourself if I remember right! Try and stick with it Jackie, and hopefully you can stick with us too whilst you're in there. All the best, will be thinking of you.xxxxx

Sorry to hear that you sound like you have copped more than your fair share of hospital visits, I hope you get a dongle and don't play up on the nurses they don't get paid enough
