I read recently that it costs something like £50,000 to train to be a vet! I was trying to persuade my 6-year-old that she'd like to be a vet, now I'm not sure!
But on a more serious note although I understand that they have overheads and wages to pay etc but there is never an excuse for un-necessary treatments. I do feel like they hand out anti-biotics at the drop of a hat.
My vet recently charged me £32 to microchip Gozo, a procedure that took all of 2 minutes and was carried out by a nurse and I have to say that I think this was taking the mickey. Then due to a problem with someone else's claims form they then kept me waiting 20 mins before they completed the chip forms and we could leave. So their time is so much more valuable than mine?
