When Your Dog Is Dreaming.........

Just wondering if you wake your dog when s/he is dreaming? I have always woken mine, (gently), if I think they are having a bad dream.

Nope, never woken Monty when he's dreaming but then he always looks cute and it makes me smile so i just sit and watch him.

Also don't know if there's any likelihood of him being startled and snapping or something if he was suddenly woken up.

Both mine chase rabbits in their sleep, normally leave them be.

If mine is whining a lot in her sleep (a really mornful sound don't you think?) then I gently stroke her side but not to wake her up on purpose.

I don't wake Missy, but then she never seems like its a bad one, just lots of running paw movements and muffled barking in her sleep. I tend to think rabbits too

No never! In fact I actually had a go at someone who woke their dog when she was dreaming and said how would you like it if you got woken up everytime you had a dream! She's only chasing rabbits! I was so angry, poor dog, sorry!!
