Do dogs smile?

Thpught some of you might be intested in seeing this

http://www.theresident.com/2008/11/do-dogs-smile/

As Hali will tell you not only do mine smile but they give lovely cuddles.

ETA Just noticed I have hit the "i" twice in the title oops, thought I'd better point it out before I get pulled up by a certain person for having spelt it wrong.

my dog Brinley really grins if he likes someone, he loves one of the nurses at the vets, and saves the biggest grin for her every time he sees her.We also get a big grin off him each day as well.

I know my dogs smile, not so much a toothy type of smile but if I talk to any of my dogs in a loving way their ears go back and flat and they slightly wrinkle yhe top of thier muzzle near their stop and close theirs eyes a little its soooo cute to see lol.

We have a lurcher who does nervous smiles - one of the reasons he was rehomed (big black dog, big white teeth).

We also have a spaniel cross who smiles, usually only in greetings but its almost on command now!

Mack is the smiliest dog I have owned he definitely grins at you, his ears go back and he looks at you all goofy and soppy. TBH he smiles most of the time......
