Pheww Cuz my puppy does this too...lol...and I was worried also.

Today after Keena had been playing with another dog a few months older than her and we put them on the leads to walk I said to this stranger who owned the other dog that I was trying to watch how his dog walked because I had never taken much notice before and had never owned a big dog before either so I had no comparrison to make...He laughed at me, but anyway! His dog swayed a little but not as much as Keena does!...

Keena's sway starts at the rib area and moves to her hips, it's kind of in an S movement and I have been paranoid that she might have had bad hips or may have them in the future...Mostly because I have been guilty of walking her on some long walks when she was a bit too young and I didn't know that could be bad until I read that you really shouldn't walk a large breed dog for to long each time when they are puppies because it can affect their bones in the future. I felt awful when I read that and I became convinced, that's it I have ruined her bones!

The sway completly goes away when she starts to walk quite fast or begins to run also as others have said. It is mostly when she walking at a slow pace and is making long strides.

I do feel slighly better now though after having read this thread.

I bet we are all as paranoid as each other when it comes to owning a puppy...I worry about her health more than I do my own!
