great pictures, i love it at Bamburgh and a bit further down the coast at a plce called newton by the sea, its near Dunstanburgh Castle. We have been up that way a lot of times for days out.

Thank you for posting such lovely photos! I attempted to go there last summer but the tide was in.......duh. I'll try again this year (with my tide table) I did get to spend a fortnight on Skomer Island nature reserve though, down here in Pembrokeshire where we have a similar bird population.

It has been more years than I'd like to try to count since I last visited the Farne Islands - great to see them again! Quite like here, only smaller and even more remote - and even fewer bloomin' people!).

Have to agree Snorri,nice not to have too many people under your feet.We thought it well worth the visit a 6hr journey each way for us and did an overnighter but worth every moment.
