The housework poll

I'm clearly housework procrastinating, but I am curious to know your views/take on housework in general.

Housework is what you do when you can`t think of a good excuse not to.

I voted other. I hoover and mop the whole of downstairs everyday and I have a set day for cleaning the rest of the house...plus on a different day I do a bit of a catch up. I also spend all my time picking up child and dog toys....so it's constant here. Is my house shiny...a show home...errrr no...not even a little bit...but with two big dogs (one of whom loves mud) and a 9 year old...and a husband...well.....it's endless....

Do it when I absolutely have to - e.g. visitors etc

Have way too much other stuff to do than housework!

We're thinking of taking the carpets up downstairs and having floorboards - no more manky carpets and boards that just need a sweep!

I voted other, I try to vacuum and wash the floors downstairs every day, keep the kitchen clean and tidy etc, Stick a load or two of washing in, but I'm not that fussed about dusting every day. I get Pete to do the dusting when he can be bothered
Also I dont venture into my teenage girls bedrooms, I just shut their doors and leave them to it, although I do say to them about once a month to get their muck heap's cleaned if they want money to go out with

Voted other.....Pidge fancy leaving "every day out of the poll"

From top to bottom every day, downstairs gets hoovered moped and dusted, along with washing .

Upstairs gets beds made and dusted , hoovered every other day.

My routine, dogs walked 8am, then a cup of coffee, then house work, then I am free to do as I like the rest of the day.

I do a bit every day, just enough to make it look as though I made the effort lol. Then with 2 GSDs and 2 kids it doesn't stay clean for long

I wash everyday too but only iron when desperate lol
