My mum's one flooded the whole kitchen when she was out once I do remember that. I haven't heard anything good about them ever since.

Why don't you do what we've done and put the tumble dryer on the top of the washing machine to save space??? I had a big bit of worktop cut to size, Dave, screwed it in the corner, and the fourth corner we used a breakfast bar leg to hold it up?

I was given one when I got first little flat on my own when Charlie was 2. It was nearly 20 years old and still going strong. But... now I have seperates it is so much better.
1.You can only put half the load into dry that you put in to wash so you always end up with half a load waiting to go in to dry.
2. If it breaks you've lost both your washer and drier!
3. When you've got seperates and have possibly three loads to do like I did yesterday, you can't wash the next one whilst one is drying.

I now love seperates and wouldn't go back.
In fact I have two tumble driers, one in the utility room one in the garage.

I had one and the engineer lived in it more than my washing After 9 months they gave me a new washing machine and offered me a separate dryer for £50. I would never have another one.

I had one too and agree with everyone else. They may save space, but are a waste of space, IMO. Go for the "singles" - they work!
