1 person (i'm only a tiny business), and gets minimum.

Saying I can take what I like...I actually take about 2 weeks per year, cos I can't afford to pay myself, and pay someone else to work my hours.

I get 25 plus the 8 bank holidays. You used to have to earn that many with long service (you started at 20) but now it's 25 as standard the minute you start

We normally get 26 + Bank Hols. If you have been there 3yrs, you get 28 + BH, and after 5yrs service you get 30 + BH. I get the 30 days as I've been there 10yrs.

We also get TOIL (Time off in Lieu) if we have to work beyond our regular hours (like at the weekend just gone, when I was fixing our Exchange Server).

ETA - we used to have to keep 4 days back to cover between Christmas & New Year, but when we merged, the 'other' office staff complained that as the Board insisted that the office shut between Christmas & New Year we shouldn't have to give up 4 days of our holiday entitlement. Surprisingly, they won!

That is too much, it's close on 15% of all the working days in a year, this country is slowly falling behind the rest of the world on productivity and you can see why with people having so many days off.

28 days is 10.7% of all available working days (Mon - Fri) and that seems about right to me.

Even so every time I ring a company these days I seem to get the "Oh so and so is on holiday today" it's doing my head in. I don't know whether to or
