Playing in the lake.

After all of the rain we have had we'd thought we'd gotten away without any flooding work but about two days after the last really big down pour the fields started to flood. It turns out a natural spring has come up where all the water is flowing through the ground. Anyway the end result is that we have a river running through work. It starts about two farms up and flows right down to the permanent river in the village. None of our buildings have been affected but our big dog run is out of action and our sheep and alpacas have had to be moved to higher ground.

All this has proved much fun for my boys though as they all enjoy water, especially Malcolm!!

Splash, splash, splash!

Running through the water -

It suddenly got a bit deep for Bandit...

Malcolm really enjoys himself in it -

Bandit running -

Running away -

"If I close my eyes I can pretend I'm on a beach somewhere."

Even Scooby went for a paddle -

Full blown splash!

Happy, happy, happy.

Sniffing the water?!?

P.S I think I quite like a riverside location!

Thank you both, Malcolm is bad enough for climbing into troughs when I'm not looking so giving him a whole river to throw himself into is incredibly exciting!

I do think Bandit wishes it was warmer Jenny
