Ooooh now THAT'S an idea! We've got the offcuts from our bedroom one in the garden shed still (apart from the chunk nailed onto the kitchen door protecting it).

Looking at the dog though - I think he'd like the sofa cushions relocating into the boot for him to sleep on (beam of sunlight he's hogging is optional)... if I could get a second hand one - I bet a sofa seat cushion would make a cracking dog bed and perfect size, and you could make a washable cover for it too.

I think for my dogs vetbed is the easiest as it will probably get very dirty very quickly, especially with gemmas car sickness!

I went on ebay and looked for some and one seller has 5 rolls of 1mtr X 1.52 mtr vet bed for £37.50...which I think is a bargain!!
so Iv bought that...will take 4-5 days to come, cant wait
