I thought of somthing else to be careful of this winter
Frozen Water
Usuall on the news in the winter you hear of Dogs and their owners getting into trouble and somtimes even both drowning because the dog has walked onto the ice and fallen through when the ice breaks
So if you are going a walk near a lake or river and its frozen best to keep your dog on its lead

I've never thrown sticks for my dogs Penny used to be stick mad, but I managed to retrain her onto balls on a rope Tamino has never had a stick thrown for him, and never will, and neither has Lucy.

That site was so sad Wolfie, a real eye opener to the dangers of throwing sticks

There aren't any sticks for my boys, because there aren't any trees to speak of! It's far too windy for them to survive for long! We have a sycamore in our garden, but it's still very young and we keep it trimmed to "large bush" size!

"The Boys" are used to exercise balls on one of the local beaches, although Kali will try occasionally to substitute pieces of seaweed! The lids from tubs of Polyfilla are a great favourite of their brother Jacob, because they fly like Frisbees!

I never throw sticks for mine either as a dog I had as a child had one bounce point end into his throat, I don't know all the details as I was quite young at the time but I remember it became infected and he had to have some sort of drain from an incision in his neck.
