does your dog know...

If you unwell or just abit down?

Last night i came downstairs to sleep (upright) on the sofa, cannot lay down because of shortness of breath... it feels like someone is sitting on my chest al the time.

Anyway... Chesty came down and stayed with me, most of the night laying there and watching... bless him this morning he is absoulutely knackered, he has slept most of this morning.
And has been awake now for about 2 hours... at least he has had some, i still havn't, since getting up yesterday

I have never had a dog do this before, and its quite weird.

Luna comes and lies next to me or stays close to me if I'm not well, so yes I do think they can sense these things.

Its actually rather funny, I've just answered the same question on the labrador site I visit

Yep, have to say mine seem to recognise things like illness, sadness and the likelihood of a bad mood almost before we do.

Hope you are feeling better soon

All of mine have been very attentive if either of us are ill or sad. My old Benny and now Mollie have been the most intuative.
