Positive Gundog training books please

A friend has just got a Lab x Spaniel, her husband (having said he would not) would now like to train it as a working gundog for him (he does some shooting).

Him and his family are rather 'old school', but she is very into clicker training and did very well with her previous dog.

So - I have pointed out a few places, but any suggestions would be great.

Thanks.

I think Karen Pryor has a gundog clicker training book?

ETA my OH has Helen Philipps Clicker Gundog but he hasn't read it (eye roll) so can't comment on it's content.

Sorry a rather pointless post from me!

Cannot better Helen's book IMHO, she is a great trainer and works HV.

Wendy Hanson did a good review of this book for KP site

There is another book US which has had good reviews on several gundog forums from pro clicker trainers, not read it myself

I had already linked Helen's book, I was just unsure of others out there.

Thanks.

It might be a bit far for them but there is a workshop of Helen's that SB has posted in the training events.. rather than read they can see.

Lana Mitchell's "Clicked retriever" is a good one on how to get a retrieve, however it is an obedience one - but still the techniques are easy to follow (except the typos).

P.S - have you got a picture
