Yes, ma'am. I've decided to take them on separate walks. I also thought that the schutzhund was probably not a good idea. Not going to do it. I probably can't afford a specialist as they cost a lot more and take on the dogs no other people will take

I agree with what others have said regarding working on basic obedience with Nigredo as a starter for agility. Although he shouldn't really be jumping etc until he is 18 month old, in the UK I know some places do "pre agility" training which can be done by younger dogs. It involves things that will be useful for agility when they are older, but without any of the bending/impact work that can be bad for their joints/growth plates. I've no idea if there is similar in the US but it might be worth you looking into.

Another thing to consider is that a key element of agility is being able to work your dog on both sides of you. You could start this practise early by alternating which side you walk him on lead, for example, so he gets used to following your commands and watching you when he's on either side.
