Daily Thread, Easter Monday, March 28

Good morning, what a night! Loads of places have lost electricity in Essex and there are loads of trees down. Dartford Bridge closed and they are down to one lane traffic each way between Kent and Essex. Bit worried about taking Amber out in it. The wind is horrific.

Hope Dillon's leg is better this morning Lynn, poor old boy. Hope Casey's continues to improve and I hope Mr Fritz is on the mend.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all stay SAFE and well, God bless.

Morning Moyra, brenda and all who follow.
Take care out there Moyra sounds awful your way.
What a strange story brenda glad the cat was ok.

Very wet here and breezy. Dillon seems easier on the leg this morning. Still looks a little stiff when rising and starting off but to be honest he has been like that for a few days now. That is probably down to the elbow problems. Funny thing is it was his left leg that started off the investigations and has the bone spur floating about but its the right leg that seems to give him gyp. Still administering the rhus tox, his cortaflex and made up some fresh golden paste yesterday.
I forgot till this morning he was playing in the garden Friday and he went down but seemed fine and walked Saturday with no problems so not sure if that's connected. We may take him for a short walk later and see how he does.
Off out for coffee and cake with Michael and Margaret later.

Hope everyone is well today and all doglets.

Two blondes were filling up at a petrol station and the first blonde says to the second, "I bet these awful petrol prices are going to go even higher."
The second blonde replies, "Won't affect me, I always put in just £20 worth."

Tweed.

Well you won't believe it I found something in between the pads and fur of Dillon's paw. We checked so hard yesterday through the day. Poked prodded warm epsom salt dips and couldn't find anything.
He was worrying round it again today so I had a feel between the big pad and the smaller ones and felt something nestled in the fur it looks like an opened staple. Bet he picked that up when scuffing yesterday along the verge.
Had another good feel nothing but he had been worrying it a lot afterwards so another epsom salt dip, then he got the gulps and needed to go out into the now torrential rain and high winds. Done his business now seems settled.
May walk him later if the weather settles if not games and grooming.
No wonder I am so grey.

Good morning Lynn, Brenda, Moyer and all who follow.

Take care on your walks Moyra.

Pleased Dillon's leg is a little better Lynn hopefully the walk will do him a bit of good. Enjoy ur coffee and cake out.

Funny story that Brenda about the cat. Surely the recipient of the parcel knew who had posted it.

What an awful night kept being woken with the wind. Neighbours have gone away and put out their recycling bin, been blown over so the rest of us have a lot of the rubbish
Been out for a good blow round with Teazle, fought the wind one way and was blown home the other Sunny at the moment but still very windy. We seem to be fortunate round here as only bins and a few fences have been blown down but others in the Sussex area have not been so lucky.

Have a good day and above all stay safe.

Well weather here is awful, wet, windy, and cold, they are saying it will improve this afternoon, well it couldn't get any worse I'm staying inside which is why I've been able to log in here.

Tumbleweed - I smiled at your post above but did you know that when Radio Suffolk were interviewing some motorists when prices had just shot up they had several people (Men & women) who gave the exact same reply.

Seems that even basic maths is beyond some people

Wrap up well if you do go out, and hope to see you this evening.

Just want to say what a wonderful job Sue has made of the garden
Got Mabs, Kesh and Zen out in the car, over to the football field, major charge around after various balls of different shapes and sizes, squeaks have long been de-squeaked, they had a great time, emerged very muddy and wet but happy ladies, no dogs to be seen ,so the whole exercise was worth while. Managed to get a quick go over with the rake before loaded them back in the car and back home. Cariad and Lona were next out, it started raining within minutes of us leaving the house, black glares off Cariad who slowed down to an amble, but no we aren't going back in, forwards Ladies
By the time we got back home it was pretty heavy rain, got a quick do with the rake on them as well whilst out. All have had a chicken drumstick, I've cleared up again and they can have a siesta now till I go out at around 4 to do the beds for the night and skip out. They had an early brekkie and early walks, so a bit confused.
We had heavy rain overnight and its quite windy but nothing like whats gone on Darn Sarf Dry when I went out this morning with their brekkies and was quite surprised when it did rain actually, expected it to stay grey and dull as it has over the last couple of days, but no actual rain.
I don't know Lynn, how on earth does Dillon find these things, and more to the point get them lodged in his flaming foot. He'll probably be a bit bruised for a day or so now, you need to tie a metal detector around his neck I think as a sort of early warning system
