I am 34 nearly 35...and my bottom wisdom tooth has decided to show its self........much discomfort to gum!....

The dentist decided that because the tooth two in front of it was very poor with big filling he will pull that tooth out to give my wisdom tooth room to grow in.......that was nearly 11 months ago and damn tooth still no grown in yet...only about half way there so gum very red and tender sometimes...when i went back to see hime he said have patience (sp) these things do not happen over night!

I'll give him bloody over night!

I had my top two wisdom teeth removed 19 years ago, and apart from a bit of discomfort it wasn't to bad.
I now hate the dentist, I had a really bad experience a few years ago. I even have panic attacks just thinking about going. I had to be refferred to the hospital hygenist to have my teeth cleaned because I got into such a state. As soon as I see the chair I end up in tears

My teeth were growing sideways and i had to wait 18 months on the waiting list .I couldn't go a day without pain relief ,Toothache is worse than childbirth IMO.

Had mine out in hospital, while I was asleep. I was to scared to stay awake at the dentists.
I had them out on seperate occasions,
The bottom one's are the worst.
It's the hot salty mouth washes I hated doing for the few weeks afterwards.
Yes the stitches are dissolvable, if you need them.
But as long as you have painkillers, you don't really have any pain, it just feels weird to touch with your tongue

My dentist sent me to a local anaethetic dentist clinic to have my wisdom teeth removed. I was put to sleep, woke up expecting agony and stitches. I had none and although it was sore for one day I had no bruising and was fine the next day. I was amazed and have extolled the virtues of the clinic ever since.
