I think your SIL needs to do a bit of reading up on canine behaviour.. a 13 week old puppy will have no territorial issues .. besides , what a good oppertunity for both dogs to meet, they will have a fab time playing with each other, good socialization for both of them.

Now your brothers pup has had his jabs, they need to get him out and about to experience life, the sooner its done the better the pup will be.

They'd both team up to conquer getting every bit of spare food from the barbie anyway - territory... or sausages... territory... or sausages?

Puppies need to LEARN to have other animals on their property.... or they can get territory aggressive and then you'd never bring your pooch over.

Louie was always been put into other peoples gardens and dogs (that we knew sounds funny) and the only way we can get Benjie to accept another dog with minimal/no fuss is to bring the dog into our garden/house.

Maybe she's just worried her puppy won't get all the fuss?..

You know what, as we were walking around to theirs this was also the same conclusion we came to. Sad but probably true.

Yep, she's been bloody awkward

I obsessed with having other dogs round when Keisha was a pup, the more the merrier in an attempt to train, well deter, any Akita territorial guardness out of her!

Nope. It wasn't the time or place, and we were only there for about an hour. Will do when I get the chance.
