Cooking Oil Help Please

Where can I tip Cooking Oil out of a deep fat fryer?
I got a lovely deep fat fryer off of freecycle, it had only been used once so was as new.
I have now used it once but decided we don't like fatty chips.
I threw away the oil containers so can't put it in them to dispose of it so only alternative is to tip it somewhere.
Bearing in mind I live in the middle of a housing estate I can't tip it under a hedge somewhere and I don't think you are allowed to put it down drains are you?
I want to get rid of it as soon as possible so I can reoffer the fryer on freecycle, it takes up too much room in my little kitchen.

I always pour it into big plastic jug and then into empty plastic oil container, but seeing as you don't have one, you'll have to find some other big container then, or old milk cartons perhaps?? NO, you can't pour it down the sink, that's a big no-no!!! Save some large milk cartons and fill them up and put them in the bin.

A plastic milk bottle or pop bottle will do the job

LOL think I'll pass on that one as I use cheap Tesco nappy sacks for poo and I don't think they will be strong enough some how.
I will follow Helena and jackbox ideas I think. Thanks both of you, I hadn't thought of those .

Failing using an old plastic milk bottle, you could take it down as is to the council dump - and pour the oil straight into the recycling tank for old oil - engine or cooking, any type of oil can go in there.
