Power adapters for Acer Laptops?

The other day our laptop charger stopped working so we did as instructed on paperwork for insurance and contacted company who sold laptop only to find out our valid till 2013 policy only covers us for if a part goes wrong inside actual laptop and we should be glad to be coveres,but we dont get it as no mains connection(charger) means no laptop once battery life runs out max 2_3hrs.

Pc world want £55 for a universal charger and partmaster £52.41 for actual charger,i.d love to find one for under £25,someone suggested ebay/amazon but no guarantee will fit. Laptop is acer extensa .any bright ideas anyone as £50 plus a bit steep this side of crimbo.

We've had a couple now from Ebay and both have been fine.

After some less than satisfactory experiences with PC World/Currys for repairs, we now take ours to a local repair shop who so far have done a much better job in half the time and less than half the cost

I'm firmly of the opinion that extended warranties are a scam!

I got a universal power supply from eBay for about a tenner!
