Is Badger a Girl Doggie Name, Boy Doggie Name or Neither?

Ok a little update first. I was on the list for a male BW English Springer pup since Septemner last year and the pups were born just after Crufts. Unfortunately the litter was fairly small and out of the 5 born only 2 were black and white and there were 2 people in front of me who had been waiting nearly a year.

However, this breeder like to have 2 litters fairly close together and as luck would have it she had another litter due a couple of months later. I'm chuffed to say they were born nearly 2 weeks ago, however there is a catch. Out of the 5 born (again?) there were 3 BWs and all female!!!

Now after a lot of thought I've decided to have one anyway as the sex wasn't really that important with both our boys being neutered!

But now I have a problem, I'd picked out a name for the boy - Badger. So I've been trying to think of a girls name until my Mam mentioned that I could still call it Badger, even if it's a girl.

But I'm not sure, I really like that name but would it really fit a girl?

Your opinions purlease!

I suppose it would be ok cos you get girl badgers as well as boy badgers....as long as you like the name it doesn't matter

(My new favourite name for a B/W dog is Brock)

I said no.

Because I think it sounds like a boys name.

BUT - I don't think it matters that much at all! Badger is as good a name as any
