I am so sorry for your very sad loss.

It is never easy and the pain will get easier to bear trust me.

I always think I would go through all the pain to have known them and lost them, than not to have the pain and never to have had them in my life.

Take care, my heart and thoughts are with you.

xxx

Thank you everyone. It has been two weeks now, and it still hurts like hell, but I am trying to just get on with things. I know I will miss Moss for a very, very long time - (well, forever, I would imagine), but I can now look at his numerous photos and videos with a smile, as well as a tear in my eye.

I'm so sorry. I was always taken with how beautiful your Moss was. It's still very early days but your pain will lessen. Hugs to you xxxxxx

Thanks Vicki. It is 10 years since I last lost one of my dogs - and I think I must have forgotten just how painful and difficult the first few months are. I know I will get there though Thanks x

Thanks Lilypup, what a lovely thing to say. Moss was quite an unusual collie, in that he was so big, as well as not being particularly "traditional" looking - and he as as distinctive in personality as he was in looks. One in a lifetime. Thanks for the hugs - they are much needed x

Thank you Tupac. I don't think you do ever get over it, no Especially as he was such a good lad. I actually still don't think it has sunk in properly, and I keep expecting him to pop up all over the place His ashes are now by my bed, so at least I can talk to him.
