Blu, Patterdale, DOB 03.09 - Sunderland, North East England


Homing requirements: Blu needs terrier people who know how to set boundaries, employ and guide his energy levels and can settle him outside when excitable around other dogs. Not for cats or small furries. An only pet home or competent Terrier person used to multiple dogs. Not for live-in children under 10. Blu needs a terrier proof/6' panel fenced garden as he can jump high.

His Story: Blu was 'rescued from a council pound' found stray and this home failed so was given to a rescue centre. The centre had him for 6 months and homed him 3 times. They were surprised at the different reports he came back with. “What has he done now"! They asked Terrierescue to find him a Terrier home. Neutered, vax'd and chipped.

Advert: Blu bounced through homes because his looks brought the Talk but none of them 'Walked the Walk'! Blu is bouncy on meeting, very trainable and does settle. Blu needs an adaptive, understanding and responsible family who can offer Blu time to settle and manage his excited energy. Blu needs to play fetch, learning 'retrieve and surrender'. Substitution so he relinquishes one for the next. On the whole he meets most dogs nicely with a some Terrier excitement and is fostered with 5 dogs!

Blu has a glossy black coat with a white bib and is 3 years old. He is well mannered meeting people and all take a shine to him. Can you offer a Scallywag certainty, stability and a forgiving attitude as he settles into family life forever? 'Blu Skies coming your way'!
