definetly not nets !!
voile is nice - but personally I like blinds - but horizontal not vertical - however we dont really have too much of a problem being an upper noone can really see in - well I hope they cant as me and OH are constantly to be foundt dashing from one room to another looking for underwear /towels etc !! LOL

MMM I voted neutral.... I'm not a huge fan of nets .. but they do have a practical application ...they stop every nosey buga who goes past peering in at you and your family......IF I lived in a situation where I did not need to stop people looking in.. then I would have nothing at the windows..you can't beat nets or voiles for privacy.. I don't mind if they are naff as long as I get the privacy I want

Nets for me unless I lived in the country and had complete privacy.

I had voile when we moved in her 10 years ago, and only last year they needed replacing!! So even though the initial cost was more than normal nets, they lasted 3 times over.

They have got to have loads of gather though!! I have them at the front of the house and at Chloe's bedroom only, the rear is without-looking onto the garden.

I voted naff, because they are. Blinds or voiles are better imo.

Or do what I used to do before I got blinds, either stare very intently back at them with a slightly maniacal expression or give the nosey bu**ers the finger!

I'm not a huge fan of net curtains, but, they do serve a purpose.

I have bamboo blinds here. They let light in, you can see out but, no-one can see in (only applies during the day. Put the lamps on at night, and it's a free for all ) I do have curtains up too, which I close at night.
