Remember that bad things come in three's...

During my house build, a couple of large trees were identified as a risk, being rotten and likely to hit the house in the next storm (we get some nasty ones here). Therefore, I had them cut down and felt quite complacent when the weather turned foul again last week with high winds.
Unfortunately.......
Opposite the house is a large hedge containing some trees, the largest of which - despite being in a sheltered environment - split in half during a gale and crashed into the front of the house.
Luckily the damage is limited to a dented gutter - but serves me right to ignore EVERY tree when I was looking for rotten ones!!!! Clearly, things happen in three's and I only accounted for two!!

Well I haven't moved in yet but don't even go there, very long and weary story which changes daily ... so it wouldn't have mattered too much but I'd better get on and insure the place
