Mac..our new edition

We had a walk around a rescue today, and we decided to rehome an 11 year old black labrador who sufferes really badly with arthritis, his breath really smells due to most of his teeth being rotton ( they are being sorted out wednesday ), hes also deaf ( through old age ), hes been to the vets this afternoon and had some blood tests done so our vet could work out what kind of shape hes in...so far so good. Hes a bit wobbly on his back legs due to the arthritis, he loves the fire Spikes taken with him ( hes even given up his place on the sofa in the kitchen for him ! ) our other dogs adore him ..so it looks like Mac is a big hit in the household with our girlies

And now hes asleep on top of the landing upstairs by the radiators So it looks like hes settled in here, he didnt really need to be in kennels in his condition, although i must admit hes a lovely friendly boy despite his ailments. He even tugged on OH heartstrings, and that takes some doing
And when he sees our little one he gets this sudden burst of energy, lasting all of about 5 minutes, must admit hes a real sweetie
