Today's Tranquil Walk

Went to an area of Sherwood Forest again that is heathland, it's one of my favourite places to walk. During summer it's grazed by Longhorn cattle and Jacob sheep to keep the bracken and brambles down but looks like they've disappeared for the winter so we had the whole place to ourselves and it was bliss!

Here is a taster of the area:

Here's the dogs, Jed first:

Jessie:

Thanks for looking!

That looks a fantastic walk - and your weather is a bit different to ours! It is wet and windy! The dogs look as fab as ever.

When wandering around on this walk today I wondered if it was somewhere people might like to meet up. As I said, there are no livestock, the area is fenced in and you might see the odd walker in the distance so it's completely safe. If you leave the heathland and head to the forest that bit is actually Sherwood Forest with the visitors centre and the Major Oak. I spent 2 hours just walking round the edge of the heathland bit, I normally venture into the woods too so it's definitely a good place to go for a serious dog walk!

Thanks for the comments folks, they are appreciated.
