Breagh - Bust crate and birthday cake

Doh

It's been so long since we've had any problems with Breagh but she had a wee relapse today.

We're staying down at Fudgeley's and today we had to leave the dogs alone whilst we went to the school fete.

After thinking long and hard we decided (having never been left alone together) to put Breagh in the crate in the utility room, close the door and give Fudge her usual space in the house.

Breagh has used a crate since she was a pup so there was no reason to think there would be a problem but when we came back we found she'd pulled 8 of the vertical steel bars from the crate in an obvious attempt to get out and (having made a gap for herself) suffered a few wee cuts around the eyes no doubt trying to shove her head through the gap.

It's very out of character as she goes in the crate at home, in the car & on holiday with no problems so we're guessing she just perhaps wanted to be with Fudge or got spooked by Fudges noises.

Then - tonight - just to show me up even more - a door was left open and she ate a whole birthday cake which had been lovingly made by my daughter and her cousin for my nieces birthday on Tuesday

Glad Breagh is ok, Honey and Diesel did something simalar to the cake incident recently we was round someones house, and the dogs were left shut in a room when we were out, and the dogs escaped we had forgotten to put a chair agaisn't the handle (Honey opens doors ) when we got back the dogs had eaten half of a big triple chocolate cake thankfully Honey and Diesel seem to be immune to the chocolate or something (Diesel had another incident when he was in a garden and the delivery man come round the back not the front, and threw a couple of boxes of chocolate that you can et from studio at christmas time over the gate, the boxes broke, by the time we realised Diesel had been quiet for a while he had eaten both boxes ).

The moral is, dogs are not good if you have a lot of pride or a dodgy heart they will break both of them
