Russia is on my list of places to visit before I leave this earth. It sounds like alot of places I've been lucky enough to visit, the rich live in splender but the poor only exist in squaller.

It is said that Paris is the capital of the world but I was there for 6 months and could not believe the poverty. Hoards of Algerian families living in cardboard boxes many with limbs missing and riddled with disease. By day it comes accross as such a rich prosperous city but by night it tells a different story.

Its funny you should say that.

They say Switzerland is so good, rich, and clean! But loads of very poor families live here. Drugs are rife, especially in the big citiies, Zurich especially. I've seen, with my own eyes, a teen in the train, bring a bag of pot out and start rolling them up!! My mum and me left the section then, as my little sister was there. The conductor came through stamped the guys ticket and didn't say a word!!

I reckon cities which have a rich gleaming exterior are hiding dark secrets of what really go on in the inside.

In the last pic you can see the funicular railway in the distance. Right in the middle of the pic.[/quote]

Hey Carole, I have been there (2nd pic down). Its the cable cars right? I spent a day in that area with my family and we went up in a cable car (never again) when we were visiting relatives in Grantown on Spey.

Great pics everybody, Jackie I love seeing a sky as pink like that. Beautiful sunsent Annestaff shame that you dont see the view from your hotel that you imagine before you go & lovley pics Gordon Lover.
