We're back been back about half an hour.

We did the Jack and Vera house first if you could see beyond the clutter it was a good house and garden lots of storage space too.
House no.2 ok but not so good that was the one with the separate conservatory in the garden.
House no.3 ok house quite big. Arrived with Katie the agent and woman comes to the door looking very puzzled and she is Polish or Lithuanian. Katie explains we are there to view she seems very put out. Anyway they get someone who can speak better English and then they were very obliging. Ok house but Gorden didn't like the view from the front bedrooms and they were the biggest rooms.
Then we trundled over to Upwell and the cottage for 2nd viewing. Couldn't get a builder to meet us there too short notice. The lady who owns the house was there her 3rd baby due to drop in 6 weeks and her dad really nice man and him and Gorden did some man stuff and discussions about stairs. We would have have a new staircase put in so the stairs weren't so steep. Her dad knows a local man who made his customised for £600 and £100 labour for the day to fit it.
Her dads name is Gorden also but probably spelt properly with an O not an E . He is also a teacher and has done the moving there doing up a house and traveling to London till he got a job locally. Seemed like we were almost living parallel lives. We went up the stair again and down of course and although steep the stairs didn't seem as steep as I remembered them. I think I had the very scarey stairs from the house at Welney still in my mind at the first viewing.

So we have made a decision today which do you think we are going to make an offer on tomorrow.

House no.1

Or the second viewing. House no.4

My first choice would be house no2 and my second choice house no1.
Which I expect will be totally different to what you choose!

Malka sorry to hear of your embarrassing moment.
Bev sorry to hear of your two chips on the windscreen.

Afternoon June and Eileen and all those who replied to the thread while I was absent.
We can have a party Eileen as we have made a decision but you have to guess which house.

I would choose house 1 then 2nd viewing but it would be a tight call you have to step into them to see and feel really.
